The Massillon Lions Club sponsors a “Fly the Flag” project on these five national holidays:
- Memorial Day
- Flag Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
Members of the Massillon Lions Club will place a flag in your yard the morning of each holiday and pick it up after the holiday. A 12-inch PVC pipe will be buried in your front yard permanently flush with the ground to hold the flagstaff. A plastic cap will cover the pipe when not in use. The 3 x 5-foot flag on a 10-foot staff will be placed in the plastic pipe. The Massillon Lions Club will offer this service to mailing addresses in the Massillon area.
The cost for this service is $25.00 per year. Profits will be used to support local youth, community, and Lions Club International projects.
