Chartered in 1943, the Massillon Lions Club is known for its efforts in sight and hearing conservation and community service. The Club pays for eyeglasses and exams for those in need and performs eye screenings each year.

In 1981 the Club purchased the Lincoln Theatre to preserve a local landmark, to provide public service by offering entertainment at reasonable prices, and to offer public meeting space in the upstairs meeting room. The Lions continue to care for the theatre by serving on the Theatre Board, assisting with fundraising, and staffing the many volunteer positions.

Members of the Massillon Lions Club enjoy the fellowship and friendship offered by weekly meetings, special meetings, and social activities.
